Draper Temple Open House February 6

Thursday Pam and I met Annette and Eliza to travel to Payson, UT and stayed with my sister Janice Lazenby. Jonah qualified for the backstroke competition and was an alternate for Friday.
We wanted to be there just in case he raced.

Annette surprised us and had tickets for the Draper Temple Open House on Friday morning at 11:00. We took two cars, I rode with my sister Janice to Costco in Lehi and rode with the rest of the crew to Draper in Net's Van
It was a cold day but we were excited to see inside so we all went. We had a wheel chair for Pam, it had only been a week since her knee surgery and Aunt Jan finds walking in in the cold very hard so we just had fun pushing the wheelchairs. We had one spot where we needed help. We decided it must have been stairs and they had a ramp built for the wheelchairs. We thought
we had lost both girls at one time but some kind men came to our rescue. We knew we couldn't take pictures in the temple so we left our camera's in the car and when we reached the stake center we were told we could take s many photos as we wanted. It was so cold we didn't want to go back and get the cameras so we just took pictures from the out side. It is beautiful isn't it?
We were worn out but happy.
This was the first view from the temple far away.
We were trying to get a good view of the Angel Moroni. Pretty impressive.
A better close up view. Look at the clouds. We love the clouds and try to figure out what they are telling us.
You can see how the lights were to light up the temple at night.
This is a view of the parking lot. The temple is small compared to St. George and Sacramento but just right for this community.
After that we went back to Jan's car and she and Pam went home and Net, Eliza and I went to the swim meet. John Hafen, Eliza's father met us at the meet and took Eliza with him for the evening and we met them the next day for the finals.
