Christmas and New Years

We were surrounded by many friends and a few relatives during the holidays. Jane had all of her family to Colorado including Randy's Mom ; Judy Guthrie. The blog pictures look so fun and I'm sure they had a great time. Allie was moving and that added to the excitement.
Annette went to to Reno to be with Sariah. She was having her wisdom teeth pulled. Eliza and Jonah were in Winnemucca with their father. They showed up to Alvie's apartment to offer support. The big thing was they got to talk to Danny. He is in the Canary Islands on his mission. It sounds like he is having a lot of fun, meeting new contacts, new companions and mastering the Spanish language.
Pam was sitting for Victoria's children Christmas Eve and didn't get home in time for us to have Clam Chowder and play a few games with David like we wanted but Pam came over after work and three of us ate around 8:30- had some soup; that is David's tradition and we all enjoy it. It was delicious the next day also.We got a exciting phone call from Brenda in Washington and we got to talk to Ashley and Reanna. They sound so grown up. It was really fun to visit with them and the next morning Pam and David got to talk to them, it was a fun visit for all of us. There is a new baby in the family, Meghan and Brenda sent some pictures of her and the girls. The girls pictures are dark except for the one with Ashley and their dog Petie. We were glad to view them. Ashley with the puppy Petie. Ashley alone. Meghan, and then Reanna with Megan. I wish I knew how to take a picture of the postcard and put it on the blog. Maybe I'll try it.
Here is the photo's of Ashley and her dog Petie, Ashley, Meghan and Reanna and Meghan. I couldn't make the Christmas Card work out but I'll keep trying and who knows, maybe it will appear on the blog in February or March.

Here is a photo of Precious and her new bed. See how large the gold fish are getting. Pam and David moved their china closet in the front room. It is really pretty. You can see David has painted the walls to match the new flooring. He is doing a great job. Precious has a hard time walking, the floor is slicker than the carpet. Annette bought the bed for her, she loves it and you can find her laying on it all of the time when she is in the house. This is a puzzle that Eliza put together and Grandpa Pete put it in a frame.
We all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I was slow in posting this so it will come with a Valentine background. Better late than never!!!!

Forever Strong

Rugby,
A new sport brought to our attention by our grandson Jonah. We went to the Flood Street Theater and saw this movie. What a wonderful, intense movie. A lot of good values were taught to everyone who viewed it and there were a lot of people there. Highland High was the high school involved.
We were in Cedar City helping Annette out while she had training and visited with Gary and Fran Dunford. We mentioned the movie to them and they told us that their son Jeff was on a mission in Minnesota and had a companion from Australia that played Rugby and new all about it. To make a long story short Saturday the 31 of January,2008 we went tot Snow Canyon High School and saw BYU and Penn State play a game. The final score was 88-14. I took some photos and will post them. #18 was our announcer and then he went into to play. His name was Shaun Howard and when the game was over I ask him if we could take his picture so there you see us. We found our every year in St.George there is a Red Mountain Rugby Tournament. We plan on going every year. There is also a picture off Gary Dunford, Jeff his son, Sidney his granddaughter and grandson ??? "Senior Moment". I'll call Gary and Fran and find out his name. It is a very physical sport, the scoring can go very fast and the rules are different. We were able to snag a score sheet with pictures but it didn't really help me too much. We would like to see more games and I guess you can go to Rugby.com and find out more about the sport and where it is played.
