UTAH SUMMER GAMES Cedar City GOLD

This is Austin D. He is the Goalie for the varsity team and plays field for J.V. He gets "MY VOTE" as MVP". He and Jonah make good team mates. Very nice medals. This was our first time to watch in the Summer Games and we'll be watching next year if he and Eliza plays water polo. We hope they do.

We are posing with the "foxie" captain after he won the gold. It was very exciting and the other teams were wise to how good Jonah is and they double and tripled team him most of the meets. He was a good leader and was able to help his team mates make their goals.

Getting ready to play. They have their finger nails inspected so they don't scratch each other. They usually wear two or three suits. They can get very physical .

Eliza played also. She was J.V. Goalie and I don't know where her pictures are. I'll post them later when I find them. She has become a very good swimmer and her form is great.

Adam to her home

Check out her P.T. He comes to her home in style.John thinks Adam looks like someone from outer space. I think he looks "cool". I wish I was brave enough to ride on a motorcycle.

He'll come until she is ready to go to his office in Ivins. David takes her 3 times a week at 8:00a.m. That way I can do my water aerobics and then go to her house for a session of p.t. by me. She is doing better every day.
Pam is doing well and can start water aerobics with me every Wednesday. We keep reminding her,"heel, toe, and don't limp". She is going to be back to normal real soon we all hope.
She has another checkup on the 23rd of May. She hopes it is A_OK. So do we. :)

Coloring Easter Eggs new idea A +

This is my Easter Bunny. I think he is so cute. I wish I knew how so I can write it down and do it myself. I think everyone enjoyed Easter and I know we all enjoyed General .Conference.

Pamela's first outing after surgery. She is watching the eggs being hidden and then watching Eliza counting them to see how many we lost this year again. I think we had a total aof 43 eggs counting the boiled ones and only lost one!!! It was a plastic egg so maybe we'll find it before the lawnmower does.
Look at Annette and Eliza. They were having a good time.

Annette's new surprise from Wal-Mart. They were fun to make and delicious. We hope to find them again next year. We'll buy extra coloring tabs.

Annette found these new lollipop's to decorate so Grandpa John Eliza had lots of fun decorating them and they were so good. We hope to find them next year.

These beautiful Red Roses were a surprise from Annette. Thanks so much Annette.

Easter was a little different this year. We were minus Jonah, he was in Salt Lake for General Conference for the L.D.S. Church. He wanted us to wait a week but his mom said NO WAY!!!!
Saturday John took us over to Costco and we met Annette.
When we got home John and Eliza were busy coloring the eggs. It was a new packet and they were having fun.

Staples removed, March March 26, 2010 left knee

Casey Hafen comes in to inspect the staples removal. He was pleased with the way the tissue looked. We can begin in-home p.t. and then go to office p.t.
Really interesting procedures and Pam has been a real trooper. She knows she needs to walk and walk to get her strength back and her leg straight. It may take 6 months for the swelling to go down but we know she'll make it. :)

We are hoping the scar doesn't spread. There is a tendency in our body to have ugly scars and we're hoping the strips will prevent it.

EASTER Saturday in Ivins Art Festival in ST.George

Can y0u really see Grandpa John putting his head in the photo? Eliza took the picture and then they forgot to take any more. It was a fun afternoon.

These chairs were being raffled off and Eliza wanted the big one. I guess we didn't win, they didn't call us but it was a good fund raiser for the Ivins fire department so we didn't mind contributing .

Thursday Jonah and Christi brought Eliza to our home for the weekend. Cedar had their spring break and she wanted to visit with us . Jonah and friends and Spencers parents were going to Salt Lake City UT for General Conference. They visited with us and then went to Pam's, Christi wanted to meet the famous "Aunt Pam." When they came back to our home we played a game of Five Crowns. Christi was the winner. I didn't take any photos, shame on me but I hope to get some of Christi later.

Friday I went to water aerobics and then to Pam's to help her with her shower. Grandpa Pete and Eliza went to Smith's. They were having a special sale on ice cream and a few other items that they bought.
We went to the art festival in St. George that afternoon. We had lunch and looked at all the displays. It was fun.

Saturday I walked to Unity Park in Ivins. They were having a pancake breakfast before the annual Easter Egg Hunt. It was so cold I called John and ask him to bring me my coat. I was amazed that there were so many children for the egg hunt. The cut off age was 12 so Eliza didn't get to participate. She teased us but we said she was too old and looked more than 12.
After the trip into St. George Eliza went swimming with her grandpa. Sue and Ron Bailey and family were swimming. They had a great time and grandpa wanted Eliza to show them her butterfly stroke that she is so good at. As she was ending her last stroke her swimming suit bit the dust. From the top to the bottom. She handled it very well.

2nd Annual Hamburger Fry at Ron and Sue's

Ron and Sue survived the tsunami.
Check out their darling shirts. I'm glad Ron will wear his when Sue wears hers.

8:00a.m. comes early for some of us. We have been swimming for several years.
Last year Sue wanted to have a outdoor barbecue before they went to Michigan. We were all happy to do come. Ron and Sue furnished the hamburgers and the rest of us took pot luck + BYOD. Everything was great except the weather. We ate indoors rather than out. Michigan State was playing so Sue and Ron supported their team with the correct green and white and they even had their dog dressed accordingly. It was a lot of fun.
This year Sue wanted us to eat early because her granddaughters were coming the week before they left for Michigan again.
The 20th of March we all took our pot luck and went to their place. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed our self.
I tried to get every one's photo but if I missed please give me a chance next year. We have some new swimmers and some of the faithful ones that come every year at 8:00 a.m. It is a lot of fun and we are thankful that they want to do this and you have never eaten a better hamburger than Ron's. Thanks a million.
