Veterans Day / Flags in Mesquite

We all know I'm the Red,d White and Blue lady. I love those colors and the American Flag.
When we were coming back from Paul
s we noticed a flag display in Mesquite. John pulled into the park and recreation area and this is what we saw. What a gorgeous site. We purchased a flag and dedicated it to Jackie Henline, he was a veteran. He lived in Mesquite and loved his country. Pam and I took him to to see "Saving Private Ryan. We enjoyed it and Pam said," Jackie always went to a movie on her birthday." We miss him a lot.
John's cousin Karen Hacking went with us after church for the closing ceremonies and we picked up our flag.
Enjoy the following pictures.

Paysons / Jan's P.T. Dec.14-16 09

More exercises for Jan. She is trying to rotate her ankle. It is harder than it looks. This exercise was scary. She thought she was going to fall off this table. She worked her legs by pumping them several times. I was very proud of her and I understand she even has more exercises to do. Keep up the good work Jan
r

Nice surprise. I had ask Jan and Shari if we could visit our friend Dee Hansen. She was ending her P.T. the same time as Jan was starting. She had made this cute purse and said she would make us one if we would buy the material. I may see if she'll make me one with her buying the materiala. I'm afraid I won't pick out the correct fabric. She can make it larger or smaller, depending on what you need when you use it. I think it is very stylish.

Here are Jan's Christmas trees. Russell Banks and family came down and decorated her outside and inside to help her and Shari feel the Christmas Spirit. What a great idea and fun for all. More decorations to follow. I'm still working on putting pictures in order. :(

Lue came for a visit while I was there and Jan and Shari showed us Jan's ankle. I brought up a DVD A Christmas Slide Show that Brother Blake had made for his family Christmas and his wife shared it in R.S. and I wanted them to see if and it and they were very happy to see it.

Seeing Janice and Shari. They showed me her ankle and how it looked with the pins out.
Jrom tells me there is a way to put photos in order but as you can see I haven't mastered it yet. Just enjoy what I'm trying to do. Thanks.

Brad was Dad's P.T. It was nice to see him again and these are some of the machines that Jan uses. She is very brave and they are patient with her.

This is the ramp they made for Jan in her garage and she was showing how she could walk up it with someone by her side. Her home teacher was the main designer of it.

CA Primary program 11-08-09

Grandpa Pete brought his train set and put it up for the children. Paul and Rabecca had a party to go and we visited with the children. We set up the train, played with their air hockey game after Paul fixed the connection and then we all had fun with the train.
We had fun reading library books and reading the scriptures. All of the children took their turn and it was so much fun seeing how well they read and when it was time for bed everyone went quietly.
Garrett and Nathan let us sleep in their room while they camped out in the living room.
Grandpa playing in Elsie's room. She loves to tell him everything!!!
Paul working magic on the control and Garrett ready to go when everything was put together again.
Nathan was ready to play and he was challenging us all. He is a really good player. His eye hand coordination was very good.

Paul getting a "real work out". Everyone wanted him to throw to ball to them so they could hit it to him or even better, hit it over the cement wall.
When is it going to be my turn?

Elsie thinks she needs to have all the balls and then share with her brothers and sisters.
Garrette and Kayla
Rabecca and Kayla
Nathan, he is ready and waiting for Paul to throw him the tennis. ball.

Friday November 8 Th we drove to Laguna Hills Ca and saw Laguna Hills High School play in their new stadium (to us) a football game. John was so excited to see all the coaches and even students that he had taught. We stayed with Don Hilts, a friend and a teacher that has retired but still takes football games. We visited with Kathy Brooks. I helped her boys with their Eagle Projects and it was fun to reminisce. The next morning bright and early we drove to Oceanside CA to visit with Paul and Rabecca and children. We went to see and hear them in the Primary Program Sunday November 8.
We had a fun morning. We went to Lowe's with Paul and Elsie May and then we went as a family to their park and shagged tennis balls while everyone played.
This is Elsie, isn't she a cutie.

Everyone wanted part of the ACTION. It was fun seeing them inter act and boy they are well coordinated.

We made a quick trip to CA to see Garrett, Kayla, and Nathan Peters perform in their Primary program at church. It was so much fun.
