John and I were in Vegas taking Pam to the airport when we heard that the group IL Divo was going to play at Mandalay Bay, Events Center,

Friday July 17, 2009. We looked and each other and said, "Lets go". We had been excited for months. My sister Sheila had her cancer surgery and I went out to help her. It was an interesting experience and I stayed until the 15TH. My sister Luana came and took over my nursing abilities so that I could go home to see Il Divo for our 51 anniversary. Sheila and Rudi were so good to us and very patient. I'll go back out in August.

I can't begin to tell you what a thrill it was to be there. I've never seen a stage set up that way and they had the back drop as window frames and as they announced each singer you could see him in that special frame and when they walked out on the stage as a group it was one big picture frame. It was black trimmed in gold and wow what a site. We thought it started at 8:00 but it started at 8:30. They had their own orchestra and what a perfrmance, for 2 1/2 hours. There was one 15 minute break and then they sang forever. Special songs were : Mama, Unchained Melodydd and many more in their native tongues. I can't tell you all of the names but I do know it was wonderful. The last song the sang was "Frank Sanitra's New York, New York, but the orchestra didn't leave so we knew there was more. They changed their attire and came out and sang, "Impossible Dream" from Les Miserabless and then they sang Amazizng Grace," They signed autographs all the time they were singing. A wonderful evening and we were all dressed up. :)

That sounds like so much fun! I've only been to a few live concerts and they have been such a neat experience. I'm glad you and John were able to go for your 51st anniversary. Congratulations!
