There was this much snow left. When Annette and Teresa went they couldn't go any farther, the road was snow packed so they didn't see some of the sites we saw. We knew the elevation was high, but not as high as the sign told us. Thank goodness people let us know where we're going and where we're at.
Annette and her dad , don't they look like they are having so much fun. It was a great day.
See if you can read all of the writing. It was really interesting.

What a view.
We are headed to that rock formation you can see at the top.
It wasn't a rock. It is a building and what a surprise in store for us.
Ssomewhere we read this building was built in 1935. That is the year John was born. since then they have done a little renavation.
This is the trail we drove up, John wasn't quite sure he wanted to take the van up the winding road but we did OK.
Can you believe the way the trees and grass grow from the rocks? It blows my mind.
Looking across from this point , we can see where we were and realize how we traveled. Can you picture the pioneers going across the plains and mountain? What a marvelous treck they accompolished.
John and Pearl
I wonder how long it took to make this beautiful view.
I wonder what story they would tell us if they could only talk. Do you think someday we might know?
Pretty blue flowers. Next week all of the wild flowers are in bloom and people from all over come to see them. We didn't see too many in bloom but we could see they were going to start, we were one week too early.
Annette was afraid I'd fall down this path and there were times when I wondered my self. I was glad for her helping hand.
