Thursday January we traveled to the new Washington City Community Center where the Region finals where the swim meet was taking place. This is a new and beautiful center.
To start the race the swimmers try to outdo the others with their yells. Cedar City are the Red Men so they have their own "War Hoop", head dress and all. It is fun to watch and very very noisy.
The national anthem was sung by a young lady who had a great voice. Everyone should attend a swim meet once.
Jonah's boys medley relay took first. Jonah was the first swimmer. That was Jonah's first medal for the day. His next race was the 200 free style. He wanted to beat the boy from Desert Hills so bad and he did. He ended up being third over all and got his second medal.
Here is a picture of him with his mom, one with his grandma Pearl and last poising with his two medals.
He was so excited and so were we. He was cute,"he said he learned from the best."
It was a wet rain and very cold, snowy evening and everyone was freezing when they were running to their buses. We were glad Annette and Eliza made it home OK.
Aunt Pam came and Grandpa John but we didn't get pictures of them, sorry.

Way to go, Jonah. So fun that you could be there with him to support him. Third overall and a medal is great!
