Teacher Heather and Pam
Pam and Heather celebrate the same birth date August 12. They celebrated at the Silverton Hotel/Casino. They invited us to come down one day. We swam, ate, played Hand and Foot and Five Crowns. It was fun. Both Pam and Heather started school the day before their birthday so this was their last Hurrah!!!!
David was acting silly.
Birthday Party for Pam and Net
They finally agreed to go to Net's house and look, they seem happy with their cards. :)
Annette modeling her gifts. Where are Pam's gifts? Someone didn't take pictures, I wonder who that was. Sorry Pam, I didn't mean to leave you out. :( Yours were great, a swim cover up for Hawaii, a new blouse and two nice shirts. Annette will return the one blouse and Pearl and Pam will return the black dress that didn't fit any of us. I guess you just need to try on to see the perfect fit.
Jonah and Eliza were having fun taking a few photos of us when we were leaving. The sprinklers came on and we all ran for our lives.
Jane wanted to give Pam a late birthday and Annette a early party so we planned it and were a little late picking up Pam and rushed to Cedar to see Julia Roberts in "Eat, Pray Love." It didn't get a high rating from Jane and I but the company was great. After the movie we ate at the Panda Express. We sat on the high stools, Pam and I made it without any problems and that was exciting for us. The food was very good and then we went to Annette's for the party. Pam and Annette just couldn't understand why we were acting like we were but I think they were very pleased and happy with their gifts.
Hiking in Zions
Danny and Randy are having fun waiting for Jason and his party. Randy turned 55 and was able to meet Jason, his brother and hike in Zions. They invited Danny to go with them as well as Leslie, Jason's wife, their son and friends of Jason 's. It sounded like they had a lot of fun and we are anxious to see their blogs. We saw a preview last night after they went into our spa and worked out their sore muscles. Randy was glad he went in and soaked. He said he was able to walk much better after.
Enterprise Corn Festival
We came home and got ready for Jane and Randy to come for their short stay here. Randy turned 55 and wanted to hike in Zions with his brother + his wife Leslie, and son .He enters the MTC Wednesday so this was their last fun outing . They invited Danny to go as well as other friends. I'm sure they will be a blog out soon. They had fun but it isn't for me or Jane. We had our own fun with Annette and Pamela.
There were 93 participants this year. One car got as far as main street caught fire and burned up. Really sad for the owner, that would of made the # of entrants 94. Maybe next year. Here is a view of one lane of cars and me next to a Chev('37), we tried to find a 53, but there was only 55. I had a 53 Chev when we got married. It was a good little car, I had it most of the time John was on his mission.
We took this license plate for Garrett. It is his initials, I thought it was COOL, just like Garrett.
The wind blew so hard some of the tops blew off the displays. Danny was a big help to this display. He was able to help take it down without it being torn. Your a good helper Danny and your height was needed and appreciated .
