John and Karen. I have fun with my new camera and I'm the only one. Most everyone is a good sport. I do need lots of help if anyone out there is willing to take on a "Senior grandma", let me know. :)
This may be one of the parks we play softball March 9Th. We've never played in Bullhead City before. Members of the team are excited. It is always interesting to play on new fields.
We discovered this restaurant when we were down promoting Square Dancing for the Senior Games, that was a long time ago and we still go there when we can. They have another one in Laughlin but I think I like this atmosphere much better. PEP

Walking, Walking and Walking with a few photos
I have been walking 3 times a week for about 2-3 months. I usually do water aerobics 3 times a week and rest on Sunday. Out pool has been down this week so I've walked every day. I decided to take a few pictures of Ivins while I was walking.

Ground Hog - Lion- Lamb- Leprechan
February 2, is always Ground hog Day. Will he see his shadow? Lets look at a few of those cute little animals. We go to Hershey Penn. to see if the groundhog will see his shadow. It is really quite amazing how many people rely on his seeing his shadow. Will we have 6 more weeks of winter or what? The East coast believe that groundhog saw his shadow. In Utah we believed but it has been slow in coming the last few weeks. Tell me which one really did see his shadow?

Then we come to my shirt that I wear once a year on groundhog day. He is such a cute little fellow and always sees his shadow according to my shirt.
This another one of my shirts. Again I wear it not once but twice. If March comes in like a Lion I wear it the first day of March. If it comes in like a lamb I wear it backwards. I have a very talented friend who would make my seasonal shirts for me to wear for Special Ed. I had a lot of fun and I even wore a different costume on March 17 Th. Can you guess what I was?
This little lamb is adorable. It reminds me of the lambs that use to greet us in the morning when it was cold and getting warm in a #10 tub surrounded by hay setting on top of the oven door at the ranch. They always seemed to be born before it was warm and daddy always had s0ft heart and brought them in. We sometimes fed them and they were called "little doggies".
March 17 th is St. Patricks Day.

What do they all have in common? If any one can just have the Leprechaun in this picture I'd appreciate it

Beautiful Sunset at the beach Special Sunday
February 15, 2009 was a very special day for Paul, Rabecca, Garrett, Kayla, Nathan,Elsie John and I. After we played ball in Palm Springs,CA we traveled to Oceanside. Paul had called and told us they had asked to ordain him a High Priest. What a thrill and the best thrill was he wanted his father to ordain him, if his Stake President gave him permission to. Before we left we got John's line of authority out and made a copy for Paul, made sure we had his temple recommend and thought we were A-OK. When we got there Paul still didn't have the confirmation that his dad could do it. The high counselor over the High Priest needed to talk to our bishop. We finally found the ward building number and we called and were told that Bishop Hatch was in a meeting. Our church started at 11:00a.m. and Paul's started at 1:00p.m. We all got dressed and were ready still not knowing what the outcome was going to be. At 12:30 John called the bishop's office again and brother Randall said the bishop was in a meeting but he would check for us. When he came back to the phone he told us everything was OK and John had permission to ordain Paul a High Priest. We all learned a lesson that day, always be prepared because you never know what other stakes want. We knew you needed permission to bless a baby, baptize someone out of your ward but we all figured having your temple recommend and priesthood authority lineage was enough. It was a great experience for all of us and after we all went into our class rooms one of the high priest asks if he could say a few words. He was told yes and welcomed "the young whipper snapper into the quorum and hoped he could keep them awake. Paul is 41 and the youngest man in the quorum. They set him part as the second assistant in the quorum and invited John to stand in the circle. It was a very humbling experience.
After church was over we started home to Ivins, UT. We had a few pictures taken, Nathan was out of his church clothes by then and showed his famous peace sign.
