Man's Search for Meaning---Victor E Frankl

We've been exchanging books with the softball players wives as we watch the games.
I found this so interesting. I want to have it in our library.
Man's Search For Meaning by Victor F Frankl is different from the other books I've read,(reading about the holocaust and I saw a different approach to this book.
Makes me more aware of the conflict the Jews had during the war and how they were able to deal with it. I'm not sure I could deal with all of the torture, starvation, going without good meals, finding friends you could trust and still be thankful you lived through it.
I learned about a term "logo-therapy" . We cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it and move forward with renewed purpose. I'd give it a +9.
I'm also reading MY SRGEL A Love Story by EKATERINA GORDEEVA with L.M. Swift. The most celebrated pair skaters of all times. I've just started it and it is hard to put down.

Talented Peters Family intertaining on Sunday :)

This orange tree has more oranges on this year than ever before. They are hoping they stay there until they get ripe. They work so hard to make things grow. Practice makes perfect!!! Don't give up. :)
Grandma Pearl and Elsie and her cousin waiting for the concert. Where is Nathan? He was being shy but I think he'd like to have a musical instrument also when he reaches the age they offer it to him in school.

Elsie loves to be a ballerina. She likes to pose also.
Kayla and Garrett playing a duet. They have improved so much since the last ime we heard them. Keep up the good work, we love hearing you play.
Grandpa is playing with Kayla and trying to remember one of his songs for her to hear.


Have you ever seen such concentration on everybody especially grandpa Pete.


Garrett is really holding the bow better and Kayla is learning her notes. That is something Grandma Pearl hasn't mastered yet.

Kayla's birthday gifts

Grandpa Pete was in charge of gifts Kayla received. He didn't get all of them. From memory, a baptism pillow case that she can color on for a keep sake and use. Her scriptures with her name on, a scripture bag, a nice white jacket, and many more . I apologize for not remembering everything. But it was a fun time.

Palm Springs Holocaust Memorials

As many of you know I'm very interested in learning more about the Holocaust. When we were walking before one of the games in Palm Springs we noticed a sign saying Holocaust Memorial. We walked over and then after the end of one of the games I talked Salty into going over and seeing it in its entirety. Below you can see some of the statues and if you click on them you can see the detail..They are self explanatory. This is titled, "The Thinker," s softball player thinking about what happened and how is it explained. (my interpretation).

These statues are at the entrance of the trail.

Now the journey into the past.





If you are down this way do make it a point to view this memorial. It was very faith promoting, trying to see and visual the happenings that went on and how anyone can deny that it happened is beyond me.

Palm Springs Champs

This is where we stayed when we went to Palm Springs after Kayla's baptism. It is a fun place to stay and the pool is wonderful. The weather was a little nicer in Palm Springs than Oceanside, meaning there was not so much rain. We were glad for that.
We went to dinner as a group to the Fisherman Market and Grill. It is one of the most popular places to eat in Palm Springs. We usually eat out doors but because of the wet/rainy weather we sat inside. We recommend it to anyone who likes fish.
We were AA champs and got a trophy and a $200.00 credit for next years tournament.
